The first 5 Hours for Orphans (Marathon for Missions) was organized by Jim Remiger. In 2006, Jim returned from a short term mission’s trip to Africa. Seeing the needs of orphan children, Jim organized the first marathon where individuals could walk, run, or bike for children in need. This has become an annual event and you can sponsor a Marathon in your local church, community or civic group. All proceeds are given to Children’s Opportunity Foundation.
