Children's Opportunity Foundation is filling the gap of care needed for the at-risk children of Southern Minnesota through advocacy, care, and training. A team of dedicated staff and volunteers are committed to building a strong and vibrant community through the establishment of stable family foundations. COF believes that a greater impact can be made through, not only service to the at-risk child, but also by empowering their caregivers. Therefore, our approach is holistic in form, serving both the at-risk child and their family unit.

advanced trauma competent care
Advanced Trauma Competent Care Training (TCC) is geared towards the needs of helping professionals who specialize in trauma care, parents, and full-time caregivers of children experiencing the effects of trauma.
Families Count is geared towards the parents of children who have been placed into the local foster care system or who are at risk of entering it. Our desire is to equip birth families with the tools and support needed for permanency and success in reunification.
Here at Children’s Opportunity Foundation we are passionate about providing advocacy, care and training for at-risk children and their families. We believe that by building strong families we are ultimately building strong communities. We believe everyone can play a role in caring for the at-risk child. We invite you to look into various ways to get involved with the work we are doing.
